Working With Me
I aim to empower clients to move beyond the familiar, inviting different perspectives and insights, a place from which they are then able to unpick difficult, painful ways of being.
I take into consideration the relationship between mind, body, thoughts, emotions and a person's core self. My counselling approach includes evidence-based psychology and holistic connective practices.
Having an awareness of a breadth of approaches allows me to work with each unique individual, meeting you where you are at and working with the experience in life you are struggling with here and now. I understand a central aspect of healing is building practices that support your ability to begin to connect with patterns of thinking and with the body, learning tools that support self-regulation and self-awareness.
I work to nurture each client's sense of strength and capability, offering a caring relationship where you are heard, seen and gently challenged to come into contact with new healthier ways of being. Bringing my natural warmth and groundedness to our sessions, I provide an opportunity for you to explore and put into practice what is needed for you to heal, we go at your pace and all of you is welcome.

I transitioned into counselling post BA in Philosophy and pursuing a long career in managerial roles in the charity sector. In more recent years I have broadened my career experience in the realm of wellbeing substantially, working and training with a range of leading mental health charities.
My strength lies in bringing an intellectual approach to this work alongside an awareness of holistic practices, my own lived experience of recovery and an open-minded, friendly nature. Meditation has been a large part of my life for over 15 years and I like to draw upon therapeutic practices and wisdom from both Eastern and Western perspectives.
